Salads are good for your health, there’s no doubt about it. If you’re trying to lose weight, increase your fiber intake. Go for the nutritional benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables to protect your heart. Eating a salad a day as part of your meal is the way to have a healthy lifestyle. You can get the best of them at a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

Salads that are nourishing enough to have as a meal does not necessarily have to be difficult to create. Putting together an abundance of colors and a variety of textures sliced in easy bite sizes is the rule of thumb. It’s a good idea not to pour the dressing in yet. Use that delightful sauce on individual servings, not on the main bowl itself. This will allow the remaining dish to keep for another meal or even the next day.

Salad Mistakes to Avoid

#1. Not Enough or Using Too Much Salt. Naturally, the former isn’t as bad as the latter. Lack of salt is easily solved by sprinkling more on your salad.
#2. Using Wet Leafy vegetables. This dilutes your dressing and produces a soggy salad. Put your lettuce or whatever leafy green you’re preparing in a salad spinner to get rid of drops of water and make them as dry as possible.

#3. Big Chunks of Onions. Onion gives your preparation a wonderful pungency, but you need to slice it very thinly. Avoid cutting them in chunks. It can make for an overwhelming presence that kills other tastes that you’d want to be highlighted.

Now that you know what errors in preparation you need to veer away from, let’s move on to a salad combination you can make for personal consumption. You can also look into getting your salads from catering in Fort Lauderdale.

Season with salt and pepper. After that add the olive oil and lemon juice. Give eve+rything a good stir with your hand and you’re done.

Quinoa Salad – You’ll need cooked quinoa, a sprig of fresh dill, green onion, olive oil, lemon juice, capers, pine nuts, garlic, salt, and pepper. Dice the green onion and dill. Place the cooked quinoa in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Once you have all of them together, mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste. This salad is filling and leaves such a flavorful aftertaste.

Tomato & Cucumber Salad – To make this, the ingredients you’ll need are cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, capers, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, fresh basil, and salt.
